A favorite Holiday memory happened in 2014 at Thanksgiving time.
It will be 3 yrs on Apr. 10th that my 85 year old mom passed away unexpectedly from leukemia. My nephew's wife was expecting the 1st great g.child & they were going to tell her the news but she died 3 days beforehand. My nephew's wife was due on Nov. 22nd. As we dealt with the death of my Mom, we were also excited about the baby's arrival. Mom's fav. holiday was T.giving because she loved to cook all of the wonderful food. My sister-in-law (the future grandma) was hosting the 1st T.giving after my mom passed. Nov. 22nd came & went but no baby. On T.giving Eve my niece went into labor. In the morn. my sister-in-law calls & says the turkey is in the roaster, the side dishes are prepared, the table is set, come over & finish the rest because we're going to the hospital. Sadie Ruth was born @ 1:00 when we sat down to eat which was the time my mom would have dinner. I know she had a hand making the day extra memorable
