Our Fairytale Proposal

It all started last November when my then boyfriend, Jonathan, now fiancé, asked my mother's permission for my hand in marriage while helping her prepare for our family's Thanksgiving. With her blessing, unbeknownst to me, he began planning. Originally he planned to propose at Disneyworld in front of Cinderella's Castle on our Disney trip scheduled for October, but that was disrupted when our daughter was born prematurely, spending over a month in the NICU. Instead, he decided to whisk me away for my birthday to Maine for Lobster Fest (I love lobster) and booked us a beautiful suite at Samoset Resort. The day we arrived, we took in the beautiful views from our balcony, explored Maine a bit, and did a wine tasting at Cellardoor Vineyards, before returning to the hotel for a fantastic lobster dinner. After dinner we retired to the room, sitting on the balcony and enjoying the view. After a few minutes, I heard a knock at the door, it was room service with two Tiramisu's and a bottle of Moscato. Jonathan had ordered dessert and a bottle of wine up to the room. We brought it out to the balcony and sipped the wine while we dined on the dessert. While we were chatting, Jonathan asked if I was disappointed that we moved our Disney trip from October 2017 to December 2018. I said I was a little disappointed, but thought that it made sense with our daughter's age and prematurity. Jon then said, "I sorry we couldn't get to Disney this year, but I brought a little bit of Disney for you." And with that, he knelt in front of me and asked, "Will you be my Disney Princess for the rest of my life?" I emphatically said yes, throwing my arms around him and I never plan to let go!
