I am the biggest Wicked fan in the Toledo area. I have seen the show before, in Chicago. I know every song by heart though. The music was introduced to me in college and I went out and bought the book, after I finished, i found a way to see the show so I went to Chicago with a friend. I was so in love that I even got the Grimmery as a Christmas gift from my mother.
Wicked to me isn't only a fun story with amazing music. I am handicapped, in a wheelchair permanatly (which may put me out of the running) and the song defying gravity especially, reminds me of how important it is to fight to get what you want. Elphaba was picked on, and emotionally torn down. But she managed to defy gravity and become powerful despite all of it. Now granted, she did it out of anger and became evil, which is not my intent, but you get the gist!! So, in conclusion, I love this show. it is by far my favorite I know, and I know a lot and I would love a chance to see it again.
