So in trying to decide why he is the best, I found myself struggling. To be honest my dog Winston is kinda a dick. He is affectionatly refered to as a basshole. He is a 2yr old bassett hound. One would think with those big floppy ears that he would listen. Well..... that isnt the case. Unless there is food involved. If someone comes over he could care less. His favorite activities include talking back, stealing hats, gloves or whatever else you leave in your coat pockets of any importance. He loves to play, usually at the most in opportune times. If you dare enough to ignore him, you sealed your fate. He will find the loudest squeaky toy he can and push you with it, (if he can get next to your head the toy winds up in your ear) and he squeaks it as loud as he can. If no such toy of doom is present, he then moves on to the drive-by tactic. He will nonchalantly stroll past and attack a foot, hand, or any other part of you he can put his slobbery mouth on, just to get your attention. It has also been determined through much scientific studies, he also is part ninja. It is rather comical to watch as he crouched and slowly stalks an unexpecting victim. When he finally does pounce, you see nothing but ears, wrinkles and tongue rapidly moving in your direction. After a long day of squeaking, arguing and slobber, he can be found sitting on the couch like a king standing above his peasants. (Or a grumpy old man yelling "get off my yard") Dare you brave enough to leave your seat, if he hasnt settled with his internal nuclear furnace on top of you, be prepared to have lost your seat to his stubborness to share. That is where he will spend the remainder of the night until it is bright and early in the morning when it is time to eat and start the days activities all over again. So really his personality is what makes him the best. Wouldnt trade the theft, squeaks, slobber, wrinkles drive bys or any of the other entertaining/annoying thing for another dog. He is our basshole.
