When I was kid, my escape was putting on a Disney Movie, seeing the castle drawn out in the opening always gave me a rush of happiness. It meant that no matter what was going on in our lives, our family would sit around the t.v. and come together for just a little while. Those are some of my most favorite memories, watching my mom and dad laugh together while watching Aladin, imagining being Bell and what it would be like to dance in that beautiful room. Its a tradition passed down to come together around a Disney movie, my kids now almost grown starting families of there own STILL keep our VHS and DVD copies because each cover isn't just a cover, its an escape to the past, to family, to where our dreams really could come true... I would love to make one more memory and watch Disney on Ice, to see my kids faces light up again, to see my granddaughters reaction... Life is hard, kids struggle now more than we did with depression, anxiety, teen suicide, Disney has always given us a break, brought smiles, laughter and peace back into our hearts. I have never been able to take the kids to one of these shows, to win would be, well, a dream come true!
